The center conducts research in the field of ‘Tumor Genetics’ to identify the role of genetic variations in causing familial cancers. The research is focused on discovering new genes involved in cancer predisposition and research on functional impact of genetic variations on protein function and its connection to cancer predisposition. The research work at the center also includes functional in vitro models as well as mouse models. The center offers research capabilities for various cancers such as breast cancer, animal models of colorectal cancer (CRC), colon cancer, and paragangliomas.
